【作者简介】

丁往道,1946年毕业于四川大学外语系。1950年起在北京外国语学校英语系任教。曾担任北京外国语大学出国人员培训部主任和中国英语教学研究会秘书长。在美国西华盛顿大学和俄国莫斯科外语大学任客座教授各一年。从事写作和文体教学的研究，及中国文化的译介。
