Ric Shreves's Summary
In 2003, my wife and I started water&stone, a web development company specializing in open source content management systems. Over the years the company evolved into a full service digital agency (or an "interactive agency," if you prefer that title).
water&stone works with companies around the world, providing services focused on helping clients get more value out of new media and open source technologies. My professional focus is on web technologies in general and open source in particular. I also do a significant amount of work in online marketing. Sector specialities include the travel industry and NGOs.
For a number of years, I worked sporadically as a freelance journalist, writing primarily about tech issues. I produced a weekly column and blog for the Bangkok Post for several years and wrote the Back Page column for ComputerWorld in 2006-2007.
Over the last 5 years I have released 7 books on open source technology and am currently working on my eighth. Topics include the leading open source content management systems (Mambo, Joomla, WordPress & Drupal) and the Ubuntu linux operating system.
