　　From2000to2006，ChengduMunicipalInstituteofCulturalRelicsandArchaeologyandotherorganizationscarriedoutfiveexcavationsattheYingpanshanSite，coveringanareaofnearly2500squaremeters.Over200stone-coffintombsandpitswithartifactswereexcavated.
　　Inneatrows，thestone-coffintombswereduginthesamelayeranddidnotoverlappedordisturbedeachother.Accordingtotheorientation，allthetombscanberoughlydividedintotwogroups.Thefirstgroupwasmainlydistributedatthefirstandforthlocation，mostofwhichhasadirectionangelofover150o.Thesecondgroupwaschieflyfoundatthesecondandthirdlocation，mostofwhichhasadirectionanglelessthan150o.
　　Thestructureoftombsisrelativelyuniform，consistingofthestonewallsandcoverbutnobottomboard.Insometombs，astoneslabwaserectedattheheadendtoformaheadnestforplacingfunerarygoods.
　　Accordingtothenumberofheadnest，thetombsaredividedintothreetypes.TombsofTypeIhavenoheadnestandcanbeclassifiedintothreeclasses:ClassAwithabroadspacebutlessinnumber，ClassBwithasmallspaceanddistributioningroup，andClassCwithrelativelyabundantfuneraryobjectsinseparatedgoodspits.TombsofTypeIIhaveoneheadnest，richinnumberbutwithnotmanyfuneraryobjects.Builtwithprocessedstoneslabs，TombsofTypelllhavedoubleheadnests，abroadtombspaceandampleburialgoods.Thecorpsesofthetomboccupantswerelaidinthreekindsofway，manyofwhichwerearrangedinasupineposition，withstraightlimbsandrelativelyintactskeletons.Inthesecondaryburials，incompleteskeletonsweredispersedlyplaced.Somebodieswereputface-downandothersmighthavebeendismemberedbeforetheburial.
　　ComparedwithothercemeteriesintheupperreachesofMinRiver，theYingpanshancemeteryownssomespecialburialcustoms，suchasleavingnumerouspotteriesattheheadorfootendsofthestonecoffin，ordigginganartifactpitnearthetomb.Manysmallwhitestonesorhugerocksfoundinthetombchamberweredeemedtobeusedforworshiporsomefunerarypurpose.
