　　JunMaisanAssociateProfessorattheDivisionofDevelopmentalBiology，CincinnatiChildrensHospitalResearchFoundationandUniversityofCincinnatiCollegeofMedicine.HegraduatedfromPekingUniversityin1982，majoringinBiology.HedidhisgraduateworkwithMarkPtashneattheDepartmentofBiochemistryandMolecularBiologyinHarvardUniversity，andwasaJuniorFellowattheHarvardSocietyofFellowsbetween1989-1992.Hespentthesummerof1988inthelaboratoryofChristianeN/isslein-VolhardattheMax-Planck-InstituteforDevelopmentalBiologyinT/ibingentocollaboratewithWolfgangDriever.HejoinedthefacultyoftheUniversityofCincinnatiCollegeofMedicinein1992andhasremainedtheresince.CurrentlyhealsohasacollaborativebaseattheInstituteofBiophysicsoftheChineseAcademyofSciencesinBeijing.HisearlierworkontheyeastactivatorGAL4helpedpavethewaytothedevelopmentoftheyeasttwo-hybridsystem.HiscurrentresearchfocusesonthemechanismsoftranscriptioncontrolanddevelopmentinDrosophila.
