- Book size about 5 1/2 by 7 1/2 inches with some 488 pages. Bound in pale orange paper over boards with a black cloth spine. Gilt lettering and decoration on the covers. Top edge with a publisher applied black tint. Fore-edge and bottom edge untrimmed. Wallpaper type illustrated end papers (Same for front and rear). Translation of some 160 or so Chinese moralistic short stories circa the 1600's from the pen of P'u Sung-ling. Translated and annotated by Giles who was Professor of Chinese at Cambridge University. Book with light wear; gilt spine lettering very faded. VERY GOOD. N° de ref. del artículo 17980
