The front pastedown has a presentation plate from Girls' High School, Oudtshoorn to Susan Langenhoven (mildly related to C J Langenhoven). A much owned copy. The covers and binding have wear, fading and marking. It is placid and secure. The contents are gently aging: they have foxing. The illustrations are kind and gentle and clean.
