侯建波（博士），男，陕西省周至县人，现为西安外国语大学副教授、硕士研究生导师。研究方向包括系统功能语法、认知语言学和话语分析。2009年毕业于北京大学外国语学院，获博士学位。在《外语教学》、《外语与外语教学》、《当代传播》等刊物上发表20余篇论文。主持项目1项，主持陕西省社科项目1项，主持陕西省教育厅项目1项；参与项目多个；获2013年陕西省高校人文社会科学三等奖。

侯建波所著的《英语指称语的焦点化心理空间模型分析》借鉴认知语言学和功能语言学的理论，构建一个认知分析模型，解释英语指称语在语篇中的分布，追寻选择指称语的过程中聚焦者的意图。全书的七个章节可以分：研究背景、文献综述、理论模型、语料分析结论五个部分。认为指称表达式是对焦点化心理空间中结构化认知客体的体现，它不但反映出聚焦和观察时的方式，而且反映出认知加工的努力程度；对指称表达式的选择既体现了元意向的不同方面，也
体现了不同层级中聚焦者的元意向。
