【作者简介】

Professor Paul A. Samuelson, founder of the renowned MIT graduate department of economics, was trained at the University of Chicago and Harvard. His many scientific writings brought him world fame at a young age, and in 1970 he was the first American to receive a Nobel Prize in economics. One of those rare scientists who can communicate with the lay public, Professor Samuelson wrote an economics column for Newsweek for many years.

保罗·萨缪尔森（Paul A. Samuelson，1915年5月15日－2009年12月13日），美国凯恩斯学派著名经济学家，1970年诺贝尔经济学奖得主。1947年在其《经济分析基础》(Foundation of Economic Analysis)一书中提出比较静态经济分析方法(comparative statics method)，同年获得约翰·贝茨·克拉克奖。1970年获得第二届诺贝尔经济学奖。
