Comparingwiththepastsocialchangesanddevelopmentsimilarelsewhereinhistory,Guangdong'seconomicachievementsareamiracle.AccordingtoFortune,anAmericanfinancialmagazine,ittookGreatBritainmostofthe19centurytomultiplypercapitaincome2.5times,America'sincomeincreased3.5timesin60yearsfrom1830to1890,Japan's6timesfrom1950to1975.Chinaisthefastestofall.Sinceemergingfrom1950to1975,China'sincomeshaverisensevenfoldandGuangdongtakestheleadinChina,increasingbyabout100timessince1978,twoyearslaterafterMaopassedaway.Guangdonghashadanaverageannualincreaseofabout13％from1978to2005,risingfrom18.6billion（1978）to96.6223billion（2000）,thentoover1000billion（2001）,reaching1886.62billionyuanin2004andover2170.1billionin2005.Guangdong'seconomicrecourseshavetakenup11％ofthenationaltotaleconomicproperty.~
