写给老师: What are these books? 这套书是关于什么的? They were originally designed to go with the seriesof books “The American Textbook”. They include some material from these books as well as original material which will assist your students to learn. They can, however, be used as a resource on their own. How to Use these Books? 如何使用这些配套教材? There are 3 different types of books 配套教材分为三本 Book 1 is a reading book. Students will have a copy of their own book to read with the teacher. 本为阅读教材。学生能够使用一份自己的教材,跟随老师阅读。 1.First, the teacher will discuss the pictures with the students. They will get the students (prior to reading the words) to predict what the book will be about. 首先,老师会与学生讨论图片。在阅读词汇之前,老师先让学生猜测将要学习的内容。 2.They will discuss each picture and draw on the student’s own personal knowledge of what they see. 老师与学生会逐一讨论每张图片,并让学生凭借自己的个人知识解释图片。 3.Depending on the age and ability level of the student, the teacher will then read the text to the students with the students following the text with their eyes and listening to the teacher’s words. 根据学生的年龄和能力水平,老师在课堂朗读课文,学生边看教材、边听老师的朗读。 4.Once the teacher has finished reading, the students will discuss with the teacher any words that were used that they did not know or understand in that context. 老师朗读结束后,学生可立即与老师讨论教材中出现的他们不认识或无法理解的词汇。 5.The students will then read the book either quietly to themselves or aloud with the teacher. 然后,学生或自己默念,或与老师一同大声朗读。 Book 2 is a book of CLOZE exercises. 第二本是完形填空练习。 1.It has exactly the same text as book 1 but there are key words missing. 第二册的文本与册相同,只是关键词被省去。 2.The students have to fill in the missing words. 学生需要填入被省去的词汇。 3.Once this is complete the students will read the story again to make sure they have the correct words in place. 填入词汇后,学生需要再次阅读故事,保证填入的词汇是正确的。 4.This is a perfect time for teachers to discuss the types of words and talk about nouns, adjectives and verbs as well as singular and plural, gender and tenses. 这时是老师介绍词性的绝好时机,老师可以讲解名词、形容词、动词、名词单复数、(语法)性和时态。 Book 3 is an activity book. This is where the student has FUN with the language.
