Somepracticalinformationaboutapproximationproceduresisprovidedinthebook,aswellastoolsforassessingtheplausibilityofapproximationschemes.Theemphasis,however,isontheunderstandingofturbulence——-itsorigin,mechanics,spectra,organizedstructures,energybudget,andrenormalization.Thephysicalspacemethodologyisnatural,andmakesthereasoningparticularlystraightforward.Openquestionsareindicatedassuchthroughoutthebook.
