内容摘要
基于前人的研究，本书提出一个四维度的事件融合模型，该模型包括概念事件融合及句法融合两部分。从概念上讲，这四个维度决定哪些事件可以概念化为一个宏事件，它们分别是时和/或空融合、参与者融合、事件类型融合及关系融合。概念事件融合对应在句法上是多个小句融合派生成一个单句。本书以事件融合模型为理论框架，以汉语使用者和英语使用者为实验对象，使用实验诱导法和对比分析法，探讨时间变量和工具变量对说话者关于初始因果链和持续因果链的事件数量分类及句法表征的影响，研究在汉语使用者和英语使用者小组内部，以及汉语使用者和英语使用者之间初始因果链和持续因果链从概念事件的融合到句法的融合之间的映射有无差异。
