【内容简介】

　　《法源译丛：佛言/中国佛学院英语教材》是德国人三界智尊者编写的一本英语佛学入门读物，系统阐述了佛教的基本思想，包括佛法僧、四圣谛、正见、正思维、正语、正业、正命、正精进、正念、正定等佛教常识性内容，已流传百年。经过多年的教学实践，中国佛学院研究部将其改编为更符合教学要求的教材。全书分为15个单元，其后加附录。每个单元包括课文、英汉单词对照、语法要点、思考题。附录部分包括巴利文、英文、中文对照表和课文的中文翻译，这样更加方便学习。

【作者简介】

　　园慈法师，俗名孙玉军，1963年3月出生于河南省桐柏县，1980年入中国佛学院学习，20世纪80年代中国佛教协会选派其为入斯里兰卡学习的“五比丘”之一，后留学英国，先后获斯里兰卡凯拉尼亚大学文学博士学位、英国伦敦大学哲学博士学位；现为中国佛教协会常务理事、中国佛学院研究部主任、中央民族大学客座教授、中国佛学院灵岩山分院副院长。园慈法师留学海外16年，精通英语、巴利语、梵语，主攻佛学、法学、哲学，研究成果丰富。英文著作有：《禅密要法经研究》，发表论文多篇。曾担任第一届、第二届世界佛教论坛和第27届世界佛教徒联谊会大会翻译组组长。
