托妮•莫里森（Toni Morrison）
美国著名女作家。1931年生于俄亥俄州，曾在兰登书屋担任高级编辑，后赴普林斯顿大学等校任教。代表作有《Z蓝的眼睛》《所罗门之歌》《宠儿》《爵士乐》《爱》《恩惠》等，囊括普利策小说奖、美国国家图书奖、全美书评家协会奖三项美国重要的图书大奖，并有多部作品入选“《纽约时报》年度图书”。1993年，荣获诺贝尔文学奖。
Toni Morrison was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1993. She was the author of many novels, including The Bluest Eye, Sula, Beloved, Paradise and Love. She received the National Book Critics Circle Award and a Pulitzer Prize for her fiction and was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom, America’s highest civilian honour, in 2012 by Barack Obama. Toni Morrison died on 5 August 2019 at the age of eighty-eight.
