【作者简介】

　　阿瑟·柯南·道尔，1859年5月22日生于苏格兰爱丁堡，1876年至1881年期间在爱丁堡大学医学院求学，其间开始写作。他以夏洛克·福尔摩斯为主人公，创作出了推理犯罪小说史上里程碑式的作品。
　　柯南·道尔一生创作力惊人，出版了22部小说、204篇短篇故事、4部诗集、10本非虚构作品等。其中，福尔摩斯故事60篇，包括56个短篇和4个中篇。除了推理故事，他的创作领域还包括奇幻、科幻、历史小说、诗歌、戏剧等。
