: 胡敏 Professor Hu Min, Chairman of New Channel International Education Group and Director of Stories of China Rescarch Institute under China Institute for Innovation & Development Strategy (CIDS), is currently a member of China‘s Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (TCSOL) Professional Degree Postgraduate Education Steering Committee, as well as an adjunct professor and academic advisor for Master‘s students of many renowned universities in China. At the age of 15, Hu entered Xiangtan University as an undergraduate student, and at the age of 19, started lecturing. In 1988, he received his Master‘s degree from Shanghai Normal University and at age 28 became an associate professor. As a researcher, he was awarded the Second Prize for Outstanding Achievement in Philosophy and Social Sciences in Beijing.Deeply passionate about the development of global competence for youth, he has translated the English books of Preparing Our Youth for an Inclusive and Sustainable World: The OECD PIS.A Global Competence Framework and Teaching for Global Competence in a Rapidly Changing World, which further help Chinese teachers and parents to understand the concepts of future-oriented education. Since 2017, Professor Hu Min has successively planned and produced the series of Stories of China Retold in English,the Chinese-English bilingual text versions of The Analects of Confucius, Tao Te Ching, Sunzi: The Art of War, Ancient Poetry and Prose for Primary Students, and Ancient Poetry and Prose for Junior Middle-School Students. In addition, he initiated and co-hosted the Stories of China Retold in English Challenge with China Education Television (CETV), which has attracted the participation of more than 500,000 teenagers from China and abroad.
