前言
汽车的诞生和发展影响着人类社会的进步和繁荣。近20年来,我国汽车工业迅猛发展,2010年我国的汽车年产量已跃居全球*,汽车工业已成为国家的支柱产业。轿车已逐步进入家庭,成为人们日常工作和生活不可缺少的工具。
“汽车专业英语”课程是高级英语阶段的专业英语课程,是基础英语和汽车专业基础课的后续课程。本书以巩固汽车专业知识和英语基础,培养和提高读者阅读和翻译汽车专业英语文献资料的能力为根本出发点,结合作者多年的教学经验,对内容进行了精心选编。课文内容绝大部分直接选自近年出版的英文书刊和外文网站,内容上按照汽车基本构造的顺序编排,分为发动机、底盘、车身、电气系统,尽量涵盖汽车基本构造和原理、新结构、新技术等各个方面。
本书内容以汽车构造为主,并选编了一些有关汽车使用、维修以及汽车新技术等方面的文章。共18个单元,包括课文、词汇、练习和阅读材料等,叙述通俗易懂、图文并茂。为了便于学习,书中对难词、词组及专业词汇作了注释,各单元后配有练习题,书后附有汽车专业常用英文缩写和汽车零部件词汇表。
本书可作为车辆工程、交通运输(汽车运用工程方向)、汽车服务工程等汽车类本科专业的教材,也可供从事汽车工程及相关专业的管理人员和相关技术人员自学参考。
本书由南京工程学院羊玢和淮阴工学院夏晶晶任主编,南京工程学院臧利国、金陵科技学院孟妍妮、常州工学院廖连莹和南京理工大学紫金学院蔡隆玉任副主编,湖南大学鄂加强教授担任主审。全书由羊玢统稿。
