主编推荐 In order to promote the development of the GEI, the Global Energy Interconnection Development and Cooperation Organization (GEIDCO has undertaken systematic researches on energy interconnection schemes at world, continent, key region and country levels since 2016. The researches have included extensive and comprehensive analysis of data and information of the global economy, society, energy, power, climate and environment, with reference from relevant strategic development plans and policies of various governments, as well as research findings from international organizations, research institutions and enterprises, according to which, advanced models, methods and tools have been applied to conduct study and outlook on the visions, paths, and key issues related to the development of the GEI. A series of research results on the GEI and Energy Interconnection of all continents have been achieved. For the first time, systematic and innovative solutions and top-level designs for global energy and power transition and clean and low-carbon development have been proposed within these research series. They have filled in the gaps within the global energy and power research field and could provide strategic guidelines for the GEI development and Energy Interconnection of all continents, key regions and countries, thus make critical contribution to accelerating green energy transition, addressing climate change and realizing sustainable human development.
精彩内容 Oceania is rich in natural and mineral resources, and possesses adequate foundations for regional integration. Oceanian countries attach importance to the development of clean energy and electricity infrastructure. Oceanian island countries' unique geographical locations and environmentally complexity and fragility imply that they are among the regions most vulnerable to climate change worldwide. Countries in Oceania concern about the climate change and has stimulated their active involvement in global climate governance. Achievement of sustainable development in Oceania will require adherence to green, low-carbon principles of development, coordination of the economic, social and environmental development goals and demands of Oceanian countries, promotion of diversified, integrated economic development based on abundant clean energy resources, full implementation of the temperature control measures set out in the Paris Agreement, and achievement of comprehensive and coordinated advances in economic development, social progress and ecological protection. The key of promoting sustainable development in Oceania lies on its clean energy resource of solar and wind energy, accelerating low-carbon transition, strengthening its energy interconnection infrastructure and construction of Oceanian Energy Interconnection. Oceania must promote clean energy development in a complementary and coordinated way, and guarantee the clean and sustainable energy supply by clean development. Enhancement of cross-border and cross-regional power interconnection infrastructure and large scale development, optimal allocation and efficient utilization of clean energy remain pressings need. Promotion of the industrialization of Papua New Guinea and other Pacific Island countries, together with the re-industrialization of Australia, will also be necessary to achieve co-development of "Electricity, Mining, Metallurgy, Manufacturing and Trade" (Co-development Model), and to improve economic diversification. Implementation of the Oceanian Energy Interconnection, will provide strong support for Oceania's sustainable development.
