精彩内容 In cooperation with the Chinese Academy of Forestry, Sichuan Agricultural University,Chinese Academy of Sciences, Southwest Forestry University, KunmingUniversity of Science and Technology, and Sichuan University, based onIconographia Bambusoidearum Sinicarum I (in Chinese, 2008) and IconographiaBambusoidearum Sinicarum II (in Chinese, 2017), this major reference work IllustratedFlora of Bambusoideae in China was compiled.Iconographia Bambusoidearum Sinicarum I was written based on results fromthe projects Survey of Bamboos in China and Compilation of IconographiaBambusoidearum Sinicarum, both of which were proposed in October 1998 andcompleted in September 2007. Iconographia Bambusoidearum Sinicarum I waspublished by Science Press in July 2008. It took 10 years for reference collectingand book writing. The book contains 94 forms, 53 varieties, 708 species, 43 genera, with 4 bamboo hybrids widely cultivated in China, totaling 859 specific andinfraspecific taxa. Since the book was published, it has been widely used as a keyreference by bamboo researchers, professionals in education, managers, conservationists, and other relevant practitioners. At the same time, this book has been citedbroadly by the colleagues in their books and papers. Iconographia BambusoidearumSinicarum II was completed in the end of May 2017. This book is a comprehensivesummary of the bamboo taxonomy research of China 10 years after the publicationof Iconographia Bambusoidearum Sinicarum I, including 40 forms, 3 varieties, and43 species, totally 86 specific and infraspecific taxa from 15 genera, which wereomitted from the Iconographia Bambusoidearum Sinicarum I.Both of Iconographia Bambusoidearum Sinicarum I and II were written based onresearch on bamboo classification by predecessors in China, especially on thebamboo taxonomic research achievements made by the late Professor Tong Pei Yiin his 50-year career, and on full-scale summary of the complete reference as well ason sufficient communication with all the colleagues and professionals from everycorner of China. The distribution of bamboo taxa included in these two booksreaches Jilong, Tibet (about 85° E), the westernmost region of China; Lanzhou(about 36° N), the northernmost region of China; the east and south coast areasincluding Taiwan and Hong Kong, in total referring to 21 provinces, cities, autonomousprefectures, and special administrative regions.
