　　《医用英语(供全国高职高专院校医药卫生各专业用METS考试指定教材国家卫生和计划生育委员会十二五规划教材)》由10个单元(unit)构成，其中2个为选学单元，教师可根据学校专业开设和学生需求进行选择。每个单元围绕同一主题展开，包含Listening＆Speaking，Reading，Word Formation，Translation and Writing五个部分。听说部分包含一项看图听说和两篇对话，话题紧紧围绕单元主题展开，场景设置为各专业学生常见的课堂、药房、检验科、影像科、急诊科等，选取语料为医疗专业人员与患者及同行间对话，难度适中。阅读部分包含一项医学文本或常识辨析以及两篇课文。辨析练习有助于学生轻松进入主题；两篇课文均分别配有文前提示问题，文后课文理解练习和语法练习，每个单元还配有翻译和写作练习。写作部分根据各单元主题，结合METS考试题型，内容为医务工作中的应用文写作。
