【内容简介】

《中国古玉》是劳费尔第三次远东探险活动学术成果之一，也是劳费尔系列学术研究的计划之一，1912年由芝加哥菲尔德自然历史博物馆作为人类学系列第10卷出版。《中国古玉》由概述、正文、插图、附录、参考书目、索引等组成，共分十二章与两篇附录，主要介绍中国古代玉器的历史与文化意涵。

【作者简介】

劳费尔（Berthold Laufer，1874—1934），美国汉学先驱，亚洲文化研究的开创者。他和法国的伯希和被公认为是知识渊博、成果非常丰硕的西方汉学家。从1908年起，劳费尔为芝加哥菲尔德自然历史博物馆收集藏品，并于1908—1934年期间担任亚洲人类学的策展人。主要作品有《中国和欧洲的鸟形车》、《吐蕃的鸟卜》、《西藏文字的起源》等。
