Peter Ackroyd is a well known writer and historian. Hehas been the literary editor of The Spectator and chief bookreviewer for the The Times, as well as writing several highlyacclaimed books including a biography of Dickens and London: TheBiography. He resides in London and his most recent highlyacclaimed work is Thames: Sacred River.
