Whether this is their first child or their tenth, parents start out with so many expectations and have so much advice floating around them. Pick up the baby when she cries. Don't pick up the baby. Have lots of stimulating learning toys. Keep the baby's room cool at night. Motion helps babies sleep. But what if you follow all the "expert" advice and still have a cranky, uncomfortable, sleepless baby on your hands?
The key to a happy baby is understanding what she is trying to tell you with her cries, gestures, and facial expressions. In this groundbreaking book, Tracy Hogg, who has cared for more than 5,000 babies, unlocks the secrets of infant language so that any parent, grandparent, or caregiver can interpret what a baby is "saying" and give her what she needs.
