在中国改革开放以来的经济发展过程中，不同时期和不同地区出现了多种制度变迁与经济发展的模式。其中的“温州模式”，不仅因其形成和发展过程中的自身特征，也因其在“抗争”中形成的发展生命力和示范效应，受到了外的广泛关注。本书从论、企业、市场、、几个不同的方面来揭示“温州模式”的形成与发展的内在机理：篇“论”，由三个研究报告以姐妹篇的形式构成了“温州模式”研究这一课题的报告。第二篇“企业”，主要研究了在制度转型背景下，温州民营企业成长的道路与产业群落的发生等。第三篇“市场”，主要研究了温州商品市场，要素市场和中介组织等市场组织的演化和创新。第四篇“”，主要研究了温州市场进化过程中的职能转变和与市场边界的重新界定。第五篇“”，主要从即非正式制度角度，解释“温州模式”演化中的影响和作用。本书计划在初版的基础上进行修订，试图在当前经济发展背景下剖析“温州模式”的意义与价值。
