作者简介：
美国少儿英语 威廉 ？ h. 爱尔森出生于美国俄亥俄州卡洛尔，后随家人搬迁至印第安纳州接受教育，先后于印第安纳大学与芝加哥大学，并获得格。他是一位积极的教育工作者，在教育改革方面做出了很大贡献。1907年他创办美国早的技术高中之一（东部技术高中），后来在布朗奈尔学校推行小学期阅读计划，为提高当地教育水做出了很大努力，成效显然。威廉 ？ h. 爱尔森也是一位了不起的教材编写者，他与美国阅读与测评专家威廉 ？ 格雷共同编写了一套的小学阅读教材baic reader。后来，爱尔森组织其他教师合作编写了更多英语读本。这些教材被美国学校系统广泛，并流行于全球34个，累计超过5000万册，对提高的英语阅读能力起到了积极的作用。
卢娜 ？ e. 伦克尔出生于美国威斯康辛州的苏必利尔湖附近，于芝加哥大学教师学院，先后在美国几所中学与技术高中从事与管理工作。她曾与威廉 ？ h. 爱尔森在同一所学校共事，合作编写了不少系列英语读物，在学校和家庭广泛使用。
