Melissa J. Morgan is the pseudonym for an American writer of children's books.She lives in New York city. Her main work is Camp Confidential, a book series for pre teens. She has written a total of 25 Camp Confidential books. They all include girls who go to summer camp and their experiences. The camp is called Camp Lakeview. She is going to start a new series called CIT's. Morgan also wrote a series that released on April 2, 2009 called "Summer Confidential", which consists of three books (Sunrise, Sunset, and Twilight).

Melissa wrote the book series Camp Confidential with inspiration of girls living in New York City, attending the United Nations International School. These girls inspired the characters of Natalie, Tori, Gaby and Alyssa
