FantasywastheBront?children'sonerelieffromtherigorsofreligionandthebleaknessoflifeinanimpoverishedregion.Theyinventedaseriesofimaginarykingdomsandconstructedawholelibraryofjournals,stories,poems,andplaysaroundtheirinhabitants.Emily'sspecialprovincewasakingdomshecalledGondal,whoseromanticheroesandexilesowedmuchtothepoemsofByron.
