　　Alice Schroeder began her career as a certified publicaccountant, working for Ernst & Young before being appointed asa managing director at Morgan Stanley in the equities division. Shewas the number one-ranked Institutional Investor All-AmericaResearch Analyst in 2001 and 2002, and a member of the All-AmericaResearch team for seven years. Schroeder first met Warren Buffettin 1998. By 2001, Buffett began to suggest that Alice shift fromthe business of following stocks in order to write full-time.
