In 1925 heacquired the Modern Library with Donald Klopfer, providing thefoundation for their next publishing venture, Random House. A majorfigure of American publishing for more than four decades, BennettCerf died in 1971.
Christopher Cerf is an author, editor, and Emmy- and Grammy-winningsongwriter and television producer. A longtime contributor toSesame Street, and cofounder and creative producer of thePBS literacy-education series Between the Lines, ChristopherCerf is a former contributing editor of National Lampoon anda former senior editor at Random House.
