张士铎，1925年生于天津。1947年毕业于天津工商学院土木系，48年去美国留学。获美国北达科他州立大学硕士及博士学位，后任华盛顿州公路局桥梁副工程师及开业工程师执照。55年回国任同济大学路桥系副教授、教授。曾任上海市土木工程学会结构组副主任，交通部公路桥梁可靠度理论编制组成员。长期从事桥梁工程的教学与科研。主要研究方向是钢筋混凝土、预应力混凝土、桥梁结构分析及可靠度理论，特别是扭转畸变及剪力滞。
