中医养生学阐释了人体生命发生发展规律的基本理论, 是一门研究预防疾病、增强体质、益寿延年的实用学科。随着生命科学的研究进展和社会的发展, 越来越显示出它的应用价值和普及意义。为了提高中医药人才培养质量, 适应社会发展的需要, 顺应当代医学模式的转换, 在国家卫生健康委员会的指导下, 人民卫生出版社组织相关专家编写了本教材。《中医养生学》纸质教材以英文编写, 中文原文、章末复习思考题答案等作为网络增值服务。作为必修课程教材, 适用于来中国学习中医药专业的国外留学生学习使用; 也可作为选修课程教材, 适用于中医、中西医结合等专业的本科生和硕士研究生学习使用。
本教材内容分为上篇、中篇、下篇三部分。上篇为中医养生学的理论基础, 主要有概述, 中医历代养生思想精要, 中医养生的基本观念、原则等; 中篇为常用中医养生方法, 主要有情志养生、饮食养生、环境养生、起居养生、房事养生、导引养生、休闲养生、沐浴养生、药物养生、针灸和推拿养生等; 下篇为养生实践指导, 主要有体质养生、不同人群养生、四时养生、亚健康及常见慢性病养护等。中医养生学是一门基于中国传统文化, 综合中医基础理论、中药学、方剂学、针灸推拿以及内、外、妇、儿各科的实用学科。因此, 在学习本教材的过程中应注意与其他学科的内容融会贯通, 相互联系,相互参照, 以便全面理解和掌握。
