This is a complete three volume set at its first edition of “The British Moss-Flora” by Robert Braithwaite. Each of the volume has full green cloth/buckram bindings with a gilt motif to the front board and gilt lettering to the spine, the three volumes consist of:
Volume 1 – “Acrocarpi I”, dated 1887, leading with a Preface and Glossary, containing 45 full page black and white illustrated plates (plate numbers T.I. to T. XLV, with there being two numbered T.XII’s, albeit different plates, and no plate XLIV), pp. x, 315.
Volume 2 – “Acrocarpi II”, dated 1888-1895, containing 39 full page black and white illustrated plates (plate numbers T.XLVI to T.LXXXIV), pp. 268.
Volume 3 – “Pleurocarpi”, dated 1896-1905, containing 44 full page black and white illustrated plates (plate numbers T.LXXXV to T.CXXVIII), pp. 274.
