泽木耕太郎：1947年生于东京，目前已出版著作二十多种，作品类型涵括小说、散文，以报导式文字见长。1978年以《恐怖行动的决算》获得大宅壮一非小说赏，1982年《一瞬的夏季》获得届新田次郎文学奖，1985年以《波木大街》获讲谈社散文奖，1995年以檀一雄遗孀人称的形式发表《檀》。《深夜特急》被誉为“自助旅行者的”，获得第二届JTB纪行文学大赏，日本冒险小说特别奖，1996改编为日剧《深夜特急（午夜快车）》。日本专业旅游杂誌《SWITCH》于2003年12月做了“泽木耕太郎特辑”，在厚达二百多页的个人专刊中，引介了泽木的创作与旅游路线；《Coyote》於2005年5月亦专文推荐泽木耕太郎的旅行风格。文艺春秋80周年时并推出泽木耕太郎自选集九卷。2003年因过去的作家活动赢得第五十一届菊池宽奖。
