英国文学名篇选注

《英国文学名篇选注》是在我馆1962-1965年出版的《英美文学括叶文选》的基础上，加以扩充而成，共中精选十六世纪英国文艺复兴时期起至二十世纪二十年代现代派文学为止的英国文学名家五十二人的名篇，此外还收了一组英格兰和苏格兰民谣。作品种类包括民谣、诗、诗剧、英文《圣经》、随笔小品、文论、游记、传记、历史、小说、剧本等。这些篇章绝大多数是有定评的名文，在选文比例上对较近的时期略有侧重。在注释方面，对中国学生有特别困难的地方，注意从详。
此书可供大学英语专业三四年级学生和学过英语而喜爱研究英国文学的青年同志研读。

王佐良，浙江上虞人。1939年毕业于清华大学外语系。曾任西南联合大学、清华大学讲师。1947年留学英国牛津大学。1949年回国后，历任北京外国语学院教授、英语系主任、副院长，中国莎士比亚学会、中国外语教学研究会届副会长，中国英语教学研究会届会长，《外国文学》主编，国务院学位委员会、二届学科评议组成员。专于英国文学的研究。著有《英国十七世纪剧作家韦勃斯特的文学声誉》（英文）、《英国文学论文集》，译有〔英〕《彭斯诗选》，中译英《雷雨》（曹禺著）。

李赋宁，陕西蒲城人，1917年3月24日生。1939年毕业于清华大学外文系，1941年毕业于清华大学研究院。1948年获美国耶鲁大学英国语言文学硕士学位。1982年起任北大英语语言学位博士研究生导师。主要著作有《英语史》、《李赋宁论英语学习和西方文学》、《英国文学论述集》等。

周珏良，安徽东至人。1940年毕业于清华大学研究生院外文系，曾任清华大学等学校外文系讲师。1947年9月赴美国芝加哥大学深造，1949年8月回国。著作有：《麦克白的悲剧效果》、《毕利·伯德的一种读法》、《中国诗论中的形式直觉》、和《数百年来的中英文化交流》等。译著有：美国麦克兰（Norman Maclean）《李尔王分析》、《济慈论诗书简》、惠特曼《蒙太彭夫人书信选》、《水手毕利·伯德》等。编著有：《英美文学欣赏》等，并与王佐良共同主持《英国文学史》（五卷本）的撰写工作。

刘承沛，江西赣州人，1922年生于上海。1945年西南联大外语系毕业。北京外国语大学英语系教授。
