\\\"在外语教学中，教师话语是教学的工具和对象。教师元话语普遍存在于课堂教学的各个环节，用来组织、管理课堂进程，比如引入话题、增加话题、继续话题、结束话题等。
本书通过整合以往元话语研究中提出的互动模式和反身模式，尝试提出教师元话语三维功
能分析模式，即元交谈、信息引导和人际互动。研究发现，母语背景不同的两组教师在元话语三个维度的使用方面存在一定的差异。具体而言，两组教师在元交谈功能上没有显著性差异，但是，在信息引导和人际互动维度上，两组教师元话语存在显著差异。母语为汉语的教师利用元话语实施信息引导功能显著高于母语为英语的教师，而母语为英语的教师利用元话语实施人际互动功能显著高于母语为汉语的教师。研究也发现，每个维度内部，各子范畴也呈现相应的类型特点。本书为外语教学尤其教师话语研究提供了一定的理论研究支持和实践指导价值。\\\"
