内容摘要 chemical sensors are integral to the automation of a myriad industrial processes, as well as everyday moni-toring of such activities as public safety, testing and monitoring, medical therapeutics, and many more.this massive reference work will cover all major categories of both the materials used for chemical sensors and their applications. this is the reference work on sensors used for chemical detection and analysis.
the chemical sensors references books will span 6 volumes and cover in-depth details on both materi-als used for chemical sensors and their applications, with volumes 1 through 3 exploring the materials used for chemical sensors——their properties, their behavior, their composition, and even their manufacturing and fabrication. volumes 4 through 6 will explore the great variety of applications for chemical sensors from manufacturing and industry to biomedical uses.
主编推荐 Momentum Press is proud to bring you Chemical Sensors Volume 3, the newest addition to The Sensors Tech-nology Series, edited by Joe Watson. In this third Volume, Polymers and Other Materials, new applications for chemical sensing, using materials developments in polymers, calixarenes, biological and biomimetic systems, novel semiconductors, and ionic conductors, are full), explored. This book will make it clear that chemical sensors based on these materials comprise a large part of the chemical sensors market. Inside, you will find background and guidance on: An overview of polymers used in chemical sensing materials including what they are, how they are made, and how their functionality can be designed and enhanced for sensing applications Molecular-Imprinting——a new approach for designing polymer-based sensors New developments in calixarene-based materials for chemical sensors including their synthesis, characterization and properties and use for such things as probes for sensing and extraction, sensing ions and molecules, and use as ditopic molecular receptors Advances in biological and biomimetic systems, including polymer-biomolecule assemblies, membranes, and nanobiosensors New semiconducting sensing materials using diamond, gallium nitride and Ⅲ-nitrides, and nano-scale semiconducting structures A unique analysis on the limits of sensing materials——and how to best choose the right material for a particular sensing objective
