王莘、刘军主编的《医用英语(供全国高职高专院校医药卫生各专业用METS考试指定教材国家卫生和计划生育委员会十二五规划教材)》由10个单元(unit)构成，其中2个为选学单元，教师可根据学校专业开设和学生需求进行选择。每个单元围绕同一主题展开，包含Listening＆Speaking，Reading，WordFormation，TranslationandWriting五个部分。听说部分包含一项看图听说和两篇对话，话题紧紧围绕单元主题展开，场景设置为各专业学生常见
