路易莎·奥尔科特(Louisa May Alcott, 1832-1888)，美国女作家。奥尔科特自幼受父亲的影响，很早就对写作发生兴趣，一生主要在靠近马萨诸塞州的康科德城度过，她和父亲均与爱默生领导的超验主义文人集团有交往。
为了帮助维持贫穷的家庭，路易莎做过教师、女裁缝、护士，还做过女佣。这些经历无疑为她日后的写作打下了基础。路易莎15岁即写出了一部情节剧，21岁开始发表诗歌和小品。1868年，一位出版商建议她写一本“女孩子的书”，这便是为他赢得声誉的《小妇人》；此后又写出《小男人》及《乔的男孩子们》
