本书共分为5章。靠前章为汽车发展简史。第2章以发动机为主，共分为10个单元，包含发动机的工作原理和构成，重点突出电控发动机、电控共轨柴油直喷技术。第3章以汽车底盘为主，共分为10个单元，除了底盘的基本构造，还包含近期新的自动变速器、GPS定位导航系统、ABS制动防抱死系统、ESP电控车身稳定系统等。第4章以汽车电器为主，共分为6个单元。除了电器基本系统，还包括空调和汽车安全气囊系统。第5章为汽车营销英语，包含营销基本原理和销售实务两个单元。
