内容摘要
《新时代主题大学英语进阶快速阅读》共分四册，本书是第二册，其特点如下：第一，选材标准严格。所选材料均摘自英文原版新闻、报道、评述等，选材标准依据2018年最新《大学英语教学指南》的要求。
第二，内容新颖，题材广泛。涉及自然、旅游、
慈善、创新创业、反恐、文学世界、大数据以及未来世界等八个领域。既注重语言内容的可学性、可思性和趣味性，又注重培养学生的跨文化意识，注重价值
观导向，注重有关中国文化、中国精神和中国故事内容的选取。
第三，题型前瞻。与目前四级考试题型完全匹配的题型在．ReadingA，ReadingB和ReadingC中体现；具有前瞻性意义的新题型在ReadingD中体现。
ReadingD是雅思阅读考试的题型，主要考查学生的高度概括能力及分辨能力，这是英语阅读的核心目标之一。
