Resorts rise up at the prevailing of tourism. Since Europeans enjoynature, they have the history of traveling out. It has been ahistory of 2,500
years, if it trace back to 500 BC when the first resort wasestablished in Greece.
It can be classified to classical humanism style, back-to-naturestyle, super fairy style, romanticism style and Idealism style.However, from
various sources, they are spa resort, ocean resort, golf resort,ski resort, country resort, lake resort and forest resort. Exceptsome sufficient
facilities, to build an attractive and vital resort, the designmust keep with other principles. Such as peace, it changes the lifetempo and
provides relaxing chance. Touching nature, sunshine, sea, snow,forest and mountain give a human concern.
If many high-dense and high-rise buildings are established besidesthe valley or on one side of it, although it can utilizenature
attractor, this layout will form a visual barrier to the buildingsbehind the resort. Only a few can enjoy the valley and themountain
slope. However, if the building is extended at a proper angle, andkeep a proportion to the lower architectures, it would be benefitfor
guests to expand their endless sight.
Natural and artificial landscapes are vital in resort design. Suchas rock, ancient tree, flowing water, though they are amidst themost-dense
area, they have to be kept as natural landscape. Modern resortscannot always benefit from amazing nature. Many resort hotels havefew
natural landscapes, even only sunshine this so-called nature. Atsuch circumstances, artificial landscape must be created and makefull use of
existing resources to supplement or transplant.
This book has classified all the projects into two categories,ocean resorts and mountain resorts. It mainly underlines thesurroundings of
each resort and the beauty of nature. Providing guests a tremendousvisual perception, and impress a peaceful, comfortable andrelaxing
background. The book has incorporated 78 international projectsmainly in America, Canada and Japan. With the ornamental ofvarious
countries, guests will taste special food without restrict, onlyfor seeking a comfort of heart.

不同，可分为：温泉度假村、海滨度假村、高尔夫度假村、滑雪度假村、乡村度假村、滨湖度假村和森林度假村等。建造具有吸引力和生命力的度假村，除
提供足够的设施之外，其规划还必须符合其他的一些原则。例如：环境安静，改变生活节奏和提供放松的机会；接近自然，阳光、海水、雪地、森林、山地，
提供人文关怀。
假如在山谷两侧或一侧建造布满高密度、高层建筑的直线，虽然其本身可以最大限度地利用主要自然吸引物，但此种布局将对度假村靠后部分的建筑物造成
视觉障碍，只有少数建筑物能够直接欣赏到山谷、山坡等自然美景。但假如使建筑轮廓以恰当的角度展开，与低层建筑之间保持一定比例，利用适当的设施
和景观布置扩大海滩范围，面向主要景观资源，有吸引力的视觉景观就能够延伸到整个度假区。
自然景观与人造景观的融合在度假村的设计中最为重要。自然景观比如岩石、成年的树木、流动的水，即使在建筑最密集的地区也应该保留，并作为景观设
计的内容来强调。有的现代度假区的建设不能受益于有吸引力的自然环境,很多度假酒店都缺少自然景观，甚至只有阳光此类勉强可称作自然的元素。在这
些情况下，人造景观必须建立起来，从而最大程度利用可利用的资源，尽可能地引进补充的人造景物以及按需要移植植被。
本书根据度假酒店的设计要素分为山和水两大类，着重强调了自然环境与建筑本身之间的协调。全书包罗了78个全球度假酒店经典项目，以美国、加拿大、
