Structural geology is the study of the three-dimensional distribution of rock units with respect to their deformational histories. The primary goal of structural geology is to use measurements of present-day rock geometries to uncover information about the history of deformation (strain) in the rocks, and ultimately, to understand the stress field that resulted in the observed strain and geometries. The text Structural Geology provides the basic principles of structural geology. First chapter focuses on structural and fault analysis of Haji Abad with interpretation of Landsat 8 satellite images. Structural analysis of a segment in Qatar-Kazerun fault using satellite images of Landsat 8 has been discussed in second chapter. In third chapter, we evaluate stability of Chamshir Dam based on digital elevation model (DEM) and field investigations. Review and analysis of geological structural model by using geomagnetic case study has been proposed in fourth chapter. The purpose of fifth chapter is to evaluate ASTER data for mapping altered minerals in Siyahrood area in order to detect the potential mineralized areas. In sixth chapter, spatial relationship between 16 copper porphyry deposits with faults and fractures of the study area has been deliberated. A geologic and geophysical synthesis on structural evolution of the east sierra valley system has been proposed in seventh chapter. Eighth chapter deals with rare earths in geological formations of central region of the Dniester river basin in Moldova. Ninth chapter discusses on electromagnetic field released in collision-impact events generate in the matrix interface fractal scalable invariant geometric triangular chiral hexagonal structures. In tenth chapter, the complexity in the spatial distribution of the lineaments has been investigated from on remote sensing topographic (SRTM DEM) and multispectral (Landsat) data. Challenges in structural geology and tectonics have been described in eleventh chapter. In twelfth chapter, Tabas area, which is located in central Iran, is selected as the study area and three geomorphic indices are calculated for its structural fronts. Numerical analyses of seepage from Behesht Abad dam foundation have been proposed in thirteenth chapter. Fourteenth chapter discusses the ground penetrating radar (GPR) investigations for architectural heritage preservation. The objective of fifteenth chapter is to extract and map the structural lineaments by using the shaded relief technique applied on SRTM mosaics of Sinai Peninsula. Sixteenth chapter presents the use of the mathematical methods of autocorrelation in purpose to study and appreciate the heterogeneity of carbonated reservoirs in three oilfields located in the North-East of the Pripiat basin. Seventeenth chapter proposes a new type of joint probability prediction model—double layer nested multivariate compound extreme value distribution (DLNMCEVD) to predict landslides and debris flows triggered by rainfall. Localized rejuvenation of a crystal mush recorded in zircon temporal and compositional variation at the Lassen volcanic center in Northern California has been discussed in last chapter.
