Polymer nanocomposites are a class of material with potential applications in various industries ranging from construction to aerospace. It consists of a polymer or copolymer having nanoparticles or nanofillers dispersed in the polymer matrix. The text Polymer Nanocomposites focuses on the preparation and property analysis of polymer nanocomposites with carbon nanotubes (fibers) as nano fillers. The concepts, researches and applications of polymer/ clay nanocomposites have been described in first chapter. The process of removing undesirable chemicals, biological contaminants, suspended solids and gases from contaminated water has been proposed in second chapter. Third chapter describes how to conduct polymer nanocomposites for anticorrosive and antistatic application. Fourth chapter deals with polymer/carbon nanotube nanocomposites. Reinforcement effects of CNTs for polymer-based nanocomposites have been presented in fifth chapter. The characterization of nanotube-reinforced polymer composites has been described in sixth chapter. Electrical properties of CNT-based polymeric matrix nanocomposites have been introduced in seventh chapter. Eighth chapter describes the principles of silanization reaction achieved in CNTs and its characterization. Ninth chapter introduces the recent progress in fabrication, properties, and potential applications of graphene-polymer composites. The fabrication and characterization of PET/CNT nanocomposites have been described in tenth chapter. In eleventh chapter, we deal with ecologically friendly polymer-metal and polymer-metal oxide nanocomposites for complex water treatment. Preparation, characterization, properties, and applications of polymer-graphene nanocomposites have been discussed in twelfth chapter. Thirteenth chapter describes the realization and importance of alignment of nanotubes in their polymer composites. The development of the new nanostructured coating with high hardness and thermal stability has been proposed in last chapter.
