LuigiNovelliisanarchitect，graduatedfromtheUniversityofRomeNo.l"LaSapienza"in1987.Since1985hehasengagedinnewdesign，redevelopment，restorations，maintenanceworkandthesupervisionofconstruction.HeworkedmainlyinRomeandcentralItaly（Abruzzo，SardiniaandNaples）.Duringthe1990s，healsoworkedinAlbania.
HewenttoShanghaiforthefirsttimein1992.Since1997hehasworkedinShanghai（andBeijing）andwrittenarticlesaboutShanghaiarchitectureforanumberofItalianarchitecturalmagazines.In1999hepublishedthebook：SHANGHAIAR-CHITECTUREBETWEENCHINAANDTHEWEST（DedaloPublishingHouse，Rome）.In2001hepub-lishedthebook：SHANGHAIARCHITECTUREGUIDE100YEARS/100BUILDINGS（BaijiaPub-lishingHouse，Shanghai）.
