【内容简介】

本教材以诗歌、戏剧、小说、散文的体裁排列，选取可读性强、具有典范性脍炙人口的经典作品，帮助学生接触原著，拓宽视野，使得学生在持续学习、运用英文的基础上，提高文学鉴赏水平，能运用英文为学科服务。本教材主要选入英美经典诗歌华兹华斯、拜伦、雪莱、惠特曼等诗人16家25首；节选《哈姆雷特》《榆树下的欲望》《皮革马里翁》等8个片段；选入小说《名利场》《呼啸山庄》《苔丝》《爱情是个谬误》等15篇，散文15篇，附录部分节选了可读性强的演讲，最后为提高趣味性、促进中外文化交流，还节选了一些中国名著的名家名译。适用中文系本科生和英美文学爱好者阅读使用。

【作者简介】

田兆耀，男，1972年生，文学博上，东南大学副教授，硕士研究生导师，江苏作家协会会员，江苏传媒艺术研究会理书，中国高校影视学会会员。主要从事西方文学、西方文艺删论、戏剧影视新媒体文学等方面的教学与研究工作。在《中国大学教学》《江苏社会科学》等杂志发表学术沦文50余篇，出版《电影美学与文化学》等专著，主持或参加“当代欧美电影疗法研究(14YJA760031)”等多项科研项目。
