作者简介
Wang Mingxian is now the vice director of the Institute of Architecture under the Chinese National Academy of Arts. Born in 1954 in Quanzhou, Fujian Province, Wang graduated from Xiamen University in 1982. He specializes in the art history of the People's Republic of China, architectural aesthetics and the contemporary Chinese architecture. He was a member of the Organizing Committee of the 1989 China Avant-Garde Exhibition, one of the secretaries-general for the Exhibition on Contemporarv Architecture of China at the 1999 UIA Congress, the curator of Young Chinese Architects' Experimental Works Exhibition 1999, a member of the Executive Pane! of the China Pavilion on the 51st Venice Biennial 2005 and the curator of the China Pavilion on the 10th Venice Architecture Biennial 2006. Wang Mingxian authored Collected Works on Chinese Architectural Aesthetics (editor-in-chief) and An illustrated Art History of the People's Republic of China: 1966-1976 (co-authored by Wang Mingxian and Yan Shanchun).
