本书旨在以案例为载体，推广分享国内外减贫成功实践。案例来自中国政府部门、企业、个人等，涉及旅游扶贫、金融扶贫、特殊群体扶贫、就业扶贫、创业扶贫等多个领域；也有案例来自世界粮食计划署、国际农发基金、联合国粮农组织、世界银行、亚洲开发银行等国际组织和非洲经济研究转型中心、牛津大学贫困与人类发展研究中心等研究机构，案例涉及巴基斯坦、巴西、菲律宾、哥伦比亚、加纳、柬埔寨、喀麦隆、肯尼亚、尼日利亚、老挝、马来西亚等30多个国家。

【作者简介】

中国国际扶贫中心成立于2004年12月，是国务院扶贫办直属事业单位，同事又是中国政府与联合国开发计划署等国际组织共同发起并组建的国际性扶贫机构。机构性质的双重性，使中国国际扶贫中心既成为中国政府开展南南合作的重要渠道，又是专职从事减贫研究、培训、交流和合作的国际平台。
