¡¡¡¡The language service industry has been making rapid progress in recent years and has become a fundamental support industry for communication and development in economic£¬ political and cultural fields in the era of globalization. The global language service industry has been growing continuously£¬ with China being the fastest growing region in the world.
¡¡¡¡The further development of AI£¬ big data£¬ speech recognition and block chain technology has brought leap-forward development opportunities to the language services industry.
¡¡¡¡Focusing on the innovation of language service industry£¬ the International Conference of Smart Language Service has been held continuously for 4 years.
¡¡¡¡The 3rd International Conference on Smart Language Services with the theme \"Integration and Development\" was held in Chengdu on October 15£¬ 2019£¬ co-organized by the Sichuan Provincial Research Institute of Thai Studies £¨SPRITS£©£¬ the School of Foreign Languages of Chengdu University£¬ and the Chengdu Translators Association. The conference can not be so successfully held without the help and support from the Academic Research Office and the International Cooperation and Exchange Office of Chengdu University.
¡¡¡¡In this conference proceeding£¬ we have selected 11 participating papers. The authors of these articles provided a novel discussion of the development of the language service industry from different perspectives£¬ such as machine translation£¬ translation theory£¬ communication£¬ literature£¬ and so on.
¡¡¡¡As the conference organizing committee£¬ we are very pleased to see these positive research activities and their results. We hope that these results will stimulate more research interest in this field and that our conference will continue to promote the exchange of relevant research and contribute to the development of the language services industry.
