《岳麓书院（英文版）》：　　China is a great civilization， and boasts vast territories， abundant resources and time—honored history Since entering into the new century， she has been attracting more and more attention， and presenting her past glamour and brilliance to the world.The booming economy of modern China and the cultural gem of ancient China have already become topics people are keen to understand and studyin an in—depth way.　　In the process of over 60 years since its founding， the China Architecture & Building Press， a national science publishing institution， has been devoted to promoting and disseminating the outstanding architectural culture of the Chinese nation， pushing the progress of Chinese architectural technology，and presenting China's achievements in construction in all ages to the world.Shouldering the mission of "carrying forward the fine traditional Chinese culture， and strengthening the international influence of the Chinese culture，" the China Architecture & Building Press has， since the 1980s， paid great importance to communication and cooperation with our counterparts at home and abroad on architectural culture， planned，compiled and published a series of academic books and albums about traditional Chinese architecture，bringing about a wide infiuence on the public.　　……

《岳麓书院（英文版）》讲述了，岳麓书院是古代传统书院建筑，属于中国历史上的四大书院之一。位于湖南省长沙市湘江西岸的岳麓山风景区岳麓山东面山下。1988年，岳麓书院建筑群被国务院批准为第三批全国重点文物保护单位。

　　北宋开宝九年（976年），潭州太守朱洞在僧人办学的基础上，由官府捐资兴建，正式创立岳麓书院。嗣后，历经宋、元、明、清各代，至清末光绪二十九年（1903年）改为湖南高等学堂。祥符八年（公元1015年），宋真宗召见山长周式，并赐书“岳麓书院”四字门额。1926年正式定名为湖南大学。历经千年，弦歌不，故世称“千年学府”，现为湖南大学下属学院。2016年8月，国家旅游局决定对严重不达标的湖南省长沙市橘子洲景区摘牌。
