【内容简介】

《诗学》是古希腊哲学家亚里士多德系统阐释艺术本质特征和规律的美学论著。该书现存26章，或有散佚。前5章总论，分析了诗歌艺术模仿的媒介、对象和方式，在此基础上了阐发了诗歌的起源与发展。指出诗歌起源于人类的本能??模仿，人类通过模仿获得认知并由此得到满足；诗歌作为艺术的模仿形式之一，是由那些善于模仿韵律的人在即席创作中渐趋使之完善并丰富起来；然后，追溯了悲剧和喜剧的由来与发展，以及悲剧与史诗之间的本质异同。第6章至22章，主要探讨了悲剧这一诗体类型。指出性格、语言、思想、戏景和唱段构成悲剧特征的6大要素，其中情节*为重要，是悲剧的灵魂所在。然后就其他要素进行了理论阐释，为悲剧创作提供了性格塑造、修辞及风格等方面应当遵守的原则和方法。23章至24章讨论了史诗这一用叙述体韵文形式来表达的艺术。他认为：史实应当记载一个时期而非记录个别事件，特别指出“史实必须具有很高水平的思想和语言”，在史诗创作上，亚里士多德认为荷马无愧为典范。第25章，作者分析了当下各种批评的种类和性质并给诗人以辨识和辩驳的指导策略。26章，谈论了史诗和悲剧在艺术表现方面悲剧更具优势的特点。

【作者简介】

亚里士多德（公元前384年－公元前322年3月7日），古希腊哲学家，柏拉图的学生、亚历山大大帝的老师。他的著作包含许多学科，包括了物理学、形而上学、诗歌（包括戏剧）、音乐、生物学、动物学、逻辑学、政治、政府、以及伦理学。和柏拉图、苏格拉底（柏拉图的老师）一起被誉为西方哲学的奠基者。亚里士多德的著作是西方哲学的个广泛系统，包含道德、美学、逻辑和科学、政治。公元前322年3月7日亚里士多德因病去世。编注者：王厚平，上海外国语大学教授，博士生导师等。王洁：上海外国语大学学者
